FedEx doesn't set return windows — retailers do. FedEx Office locations support QR-code returns for many retailers and can print labels from an emailed file.
Receipt rules
- Get the drop-off receipt at FedEx Office/Ship Center — proof of hand-off.
- OnSite locations (Walgreens, Dollar General) also scan on intake; ask for confirmation.
Label rules and drop-off options
- Many retailers (including Walmart for some returns) support label-free QR codes at FedEx Office.
- FedEx Office can print an emailed label for a small fee if there's no QR option.

Common denial reasons
- Prohibited/hazmat contents
- Expired label
Refund delayed playbook
- Track to 'Delivered' at the retailer's facility — that starts the refund clock.
- Stuck >5 business days: the retailer must open the trace since they own the label.
